We all know we all love to read the excellent fluff of the Midnight products. But how much does it actually affect your campaign? Excluding Crown of Shadow, which is an adventure and requires use of the stuff included, what NPCs, locations and other published stuff have you used in your campaign?

Off the top of my head, my group has directly encountered:

NPCs
Aradil
Ardherin
Zardrix
Jaden Norfall
Cendara
Green Bronal
Morgatha's Brandubh
Axanimath

Locations
The Old Ways
Aigeathir
Althorin
Autilar
Caradul
Dragon's Isle
Corbron Isles
Steel Hill
Kaelorin
Giant's Face
Skyrfell Pike

And there's a lot of other stuff lurking behind the scenes, or resting on the horizon. But two of my players have styled themselves GMs, and now read this. Wink

I only played through CoS (plus some extras) but I have used several NPCs from the various books (can't remember exactly who know, but i'm sure i used one or two from Under) but they did not really reveal who they are to the players... they suspected some , but came to all the wrong conclusions. I also use the Old Ways.

heheh...
Some of mine do too.  I trust that when I put up the  ***SPOILER*** alerts they'll take heed and not read.

I like notes like this because it makes me want to read about the people/places/things that others have used,  as sort of a "what's cool" list.  I have not invested as much as I should in reading the fluff text stuff.  So I'm excited when I read things like this, so that other GMs can give me pointers toward the cool stuff they've found.

Sadly in my campaigns (so far)  I haven't used alot of the people/places directly yet.  I've talked about and hinted toward them alot.  Here are the ones I remember...

PEOPLE/MONSTERS
Varlathis  (the dragon)
Zardrix  (the dragon) but they only felt her 747-like wing buffet overhead and a huge shadow as she zoomed over
Aradril  (but only in visions and backstory)
Aradril's Eye  (I made up one of my one for an NPC, a dwarf named Nodin)
the Freeriders
Carrion Stags
Borros

LOCATIONS
Sweet Water
Swift Water
the Plains of Erenhead
the Kaldrunes

So ... not so much.
I actually focused my last campaign on trying to USE all the cool basic monsters (but with Midnight twists)  from D&D,  before going overboard with new monsters and such.
So not much specifically.

I'd like to use more though...

Emphasis mine, on the scary encounters, just to get the midnighty feel.

I think you're missing quite a few locations there btw, mainly all the ones that are south of pelluria and east of the woods, as well as the burning line, which was a memorable one.

I myself have gmed 4 sessions now (I think), and have yet to use any npcs directly. Though I have mentioned Azogduk.
I have also mentioned Pelluria, Eren River, Erenhead and they're travelling through the eastern hills, but I'm sure more book-fluff will show up soon enough.
