Tarkin the Lost – Male Erenlander EXP 7 / ROG 2

On a dead end street in one of the most dangerous section of Sharuun is a small alehouse. The building is in poor repair, the walls barely stand, the roof is open to the gray sky in several places, and the locals in the area joke about when the building will collapse on the drinkers. The regulars are all locals, residents from the nearby homes that are share a secret. Each of them owes a debt that cannot be easily repaid to a man known as “The Lost”.

In the basement is an opening that leads to an underground passage, which opens up, into a large underground sewer. A nearby ladder leads up into a courtyard. This courtyard used to have two entrances that have been blocked by carefully collapsed buildings.

The interior of the courtyard is overgrown with weeds, plants, several small trees, and the remains several fountains and statues. The cobblestone paths are the only safe areas to walk, off the path lay all manner of deadly improvised traps. Deep in the courtyard is a small house built from the wreckage of the surrounding homes and former businesses.

In this home lives one of Sharuun’s most notorious crime lords, Tarkin the Lost.

Tarkin, a tall lanky man who appears to be Sarcosian, controls a large network of prostitutes, orphans, and informers that are referred to as Tarkin’s Birds. It is whispered in Sharuun that any important conversation will eventually make it’s way to one of the Birds. Tarkin is a collector of secrets, lies, and hidden things. He is one of the weakest of the Sharuun Crime Lords but also the most feared. Each of the other Crime Lords has more than enough street thugs to force their way to his courtyard and kill him. However they all fear what he knows and whom he might tell before his death, because of this he is the most feared of all the crime lords.

Tarkin is careful to maintain his position as feared but still necessary. He never pushes the occupying Legates enough for them to consider having such a useful information source killed. On the opposite side of the coin Tarkin never reveals enough of the Resistance’s secrets for them to consider killing such a valuable source of the Shadow’s activities within Sharuun.

Tarkin’s identity is unknown to the resident’s of Sharuun. He never appears to others without a disguise even in his own home. Tarkin is also a trained and skill herbalist, another skill that he uses to his advantage with both the resistance and the shadow. His courtyard contains many useful herbs and plants that are disguised and hidden within the weeds and ruins. Tarkin uses his skills as a stonemason, quite a valuable skill, to gain access to important area where he can acquire information. His most used disguise is as Riggin, a Sarcosian Carpenter. Riggin is known as a expert craftsman but those in “the know” refer to Riggin as one of Tarkin’s Birds.

Possessions: Leather armor, dagger, disguise kit, forger’s kit, artisan’s tools for stonemasonry, various herbs, infused oils, gnaw roots, salves, and poultices.

His garden also contains the following herbs; Chungri Weed, enjar pollen, gnomebuckle shrubs, horta grass, parhaila shoots, emphalo stalks, and queen’s lace.
