The Siege of Bodrun

My 6th level players are in the area and have a chance of being caught up in it. I can only find a small handful of references to what the place is like, so I was hoping to enlist some help.

Here's what I know-

Gorund clan is one of the only clans that lives both above and below the surface. Bodrun is their main clanhold, so it most likely is a layered city, like one hold stacked on another.

Bodrun is under siege, primarily by Feral Mother orcs. They are most likely assaulting from both above and below ground.

So my questions are:

Does anyone know anything more about Bodrun, or Gorund clan? Where can I look it up?

Any original ideas about the nature of the siege, the forces on either side, tricks or complications?

Hey DH,

I did a siege-warfare scene is my CoS while the players were at Pardrum holdfast.  It was pretty complicated and difficult, but having a big, wall-mounted white board helped immensely with keeping track of everything.

I started rolling attack and defense rolls for units as a whole, and the difference translating into one lose per number (well, rather the exchange rate was for every number difference 1 goblin, or 0.5 orcs died.

Wow, you certainly dig up the old links LB.  The unifans site was like 3-4 generations ago.

Yeah, actually I had just dug it up for someone else, and found a post on the boards I had attached it to, which still works even though the downloads section doesn't.  See attached.

I think you want the stuff starting on p22. 

Now, any particular reason you need this info???  Idle curiosity I suppose?

Heh. I like your use of the term generations.

Yeah, there's tons of gems if you go looking hard enough. Especially back in the 1st and 2nd genertions when the board was entirely more active. But this one I owe to one of our many lurkers on the board. I occasionally stop to see what is being perused by other people and if I see something that tickles my fancy I follow up on it.

As for your question, I may have several reasons for asking about this. Idle curiosity is what brings me to many useful discoveries.

Good good. Nothing to worry about then. No siege battles going to break any idyllic and safe environments.
