Honor and Shadow

The next supplement of the Midnight line has finally been revealed in full, with a product page featuring a full description of the book and the cover, unlike usual this one seems to be the final deal. This confirms our last news item, showing that despite all odds, we do manage to get info before they are willing to give it to us.

Veil of Shadow

FFG has also made an official announcement on their releases for 2007, mirroring what they announced on the GAMA trade show, in Vegas, in there we see two releases for Midnight, Honor and Shadow and Veil of Shadow, it seems they are aiming for a winter release. This one was not featured here before, as it was not found when we last sneaked into FFG's office. Follows the little info we have on it.

Quote
And this winter, learn the tragic mysteries of the Fell in Veil of Shadow. The hungry dead walk the world with an insatiable lust for human flesh, but why? How? What can be done to stop them?

Grimm RPG

The long awaited Grimm rpg is at last confirmed for a release, the game is based on the successful 64 pages D20 supplement that allowed you to play children in a world of fairy tales gone wrong. let us just hope this time, it is for real.

Thanks go to LeaderDesslok, for pointing this out on this thread.

Oh, the humanity!

If a final battle for freedom comes, it will not be in this forsaken place. If a people is to survive and live on in the next age, it will not be the Dorns. Like the doomed dwarves in their mountains, like the all-but-exterminated halflings of the plains, their tale nears its end.

Wow. Looks like, after the optimism of Destiny, they're back to good old hopeless form. That is very evocative.

Hiding from Shadow

Yes, Honor seems to be all about "the end of the Dorns, but taking their enemies with them into the grave", Viking-style. I love it. Both heroic and tragic.

I'm also VERY excited about Veil &Shadow, as the origins of the Fell are very mysterious. That was one point that was not described into much detail even in M2E. I'm glad FFG fills that one gap. I'd also like to learn more about the Veil and its effects, (and perhaps how it could be lifted, as a campaign goal?).

After that, "Sea & Shadow" has my vote (many here remember my long-time obsession with that topic), along with a supplement about the "grey side" (thieves, etc) and a book that covers the "forgotten fey" (ie, races that still don't have their own supplement: gnomes, halflings, Miransil elves, dworgs, dwarrows, elflings). Oh, and an epic campaign, from level 1 to level 20.

Midnight still has many areas to explore in supplements IMHO.

A deeper look at the veil would be interesting. But I believe that's also one of those things that all DMs like to have the final word on. I'm glad to see a slightly bleaker tone than Destiny though, that one was a bit too optimistic for my taste.

Dammit! They cant do a Veil of Shadow! Thats the name of my campaign! I thought of that! It's mine I tell you! Mine! I thought of a campaign based around the veil, not FFG! Now my players will think that this is another idea I stole off somebody else. Again.

Sob, Sob, Sob!

Ok, I think I need to have a lie down now...

I just realized my 20 (or so) session campaign still doesn't have a name.
The whale of Shadow.
The vale of Shadow.
The wail of Shadow. hmmm
