Against the Spams

It is no news that we have been facing spammers since the old site,ever since we changed to this one I have been working against those threats without mercy and in this date I have taken another degree of work against this plague.

Through a careful analysis of all registered users I have deleted at least 70 accounts and created nearly 100 new ban rules to try and keep them at bay, in addition I have scanned through all accounts that were pending activation and those without any change in the last 2 months were also deleted, while this may sound harsh I send mails to remind those accounts of their activation need every month and none of them has posted in an attempt to solve any problem they could be facing.

While all this action is directed against spammers it may also end up hurting some legit users of the site, which will now end up seeing a notice saying: "Spammers are not allowed in our forums". If any of you face this issue please let me know on the Meta forum, where you can post as a guest.
