Sarcosan Hordes

I'm a bit confused about the structure of the Sarcosan military.  I was under the assumption that the military groups of horse warriors was called a sussar and was led by a sharif.  Upon closer examination, it appears that the actual unit has no name but the leaders are called sussars.  Is this right?  Then what's a sharif?  Can anyone clarify?  Also, if a famous sussar had a horde, what would it be called?  Would something like "Jahzir's Wind Riders" work for a group name?
