So thanks to some miscommunications and mishaps, I'm running this moduel for one other player, and I took pity on him to add in some extra NPCs, though I have ran into some issues:

1) Once part two begins and the team reaches level 3 and onwards, I'm not sure how to develop the provided NPCs in terms of level (never mind Elyssia is not likely to gain a level) in terms of gaining Feats and (in the case of the Channelers), their bonus powers from their classes, any opinions?

2) Dumb luck and missing Seers, if the provided Seer got killed due to dumb luck or poor tactical planning, how harder is it to find the other Children of Aryth exactly, and how should this be addressed?

1.) Just try to think about what their description of personalities would dictate. It's been a long time since I've read the material for that one so I can't be of much more help here.

2.) If the seer dies, well there is the possibility he could come back as a Fell character. A lot more dangerous and there is the feeding factor to think about, but it's one way to keep him staying on. Another idea is to have the characters work closely with  Aradil's Eyes. http://darknessfalls.leaderdesslok.com/prestige_aradils-eye.htm

The Witch Queen has a mind boggling vast array of resources to use and even just investigating rumors of people with unique qualities is worth checking out. Some could be real, others not. Having the PC's go to these locations is a great idea. Aside from that it's pure chance that other Children of Aryth might be found.

Mmm, well, if Dumb Luck will catch them in this mess, I guess sometimes Dumb luck will get them out...

Also, once you can recall, let's see your second opinion so I can get a general build idea on where it's going... I'm making small deviations for the sake of compensating for the number of players, need to avoid making OoC choices... after all, Alirielle will not inspire Rage in herself or anyone else for that matter!

1/ also don't forget that the NPC are not the heroes Wink Try picking something that makes sense for the level up, but if it's not the best option that's not a real issue: the real shiner should be the PC.
If it's only one PC (or 2) you can get a bit more generous in xp awards, so that he (they) is (are) 1 or 2 levels ahead of what is the norm
2/ if it happens only once, the good thing with seer is that they are ... seer. Let the PC(s) despair a little, time to consider their failure, and find a way out. Then have them rescue traveler(s) ambushed by some hazard. The seer is the traveler (or among the travelers), he has come all the way because he had a vision, and he know the PCs are the one he was to met. Usable only once.

Make sure your seer is constantly writing a stack of letters. He knows when he will die and will leave a stack of letters to be opened at predetermined intervals determined by the letter on top. So he kinda lives on no matter what, basically a big plot plow, but that's what living seer just end up becoming anyways

Well, at least it sounds like "make a contignecy plan and accept the fact when dumb luck happens, it happens" so far for the Seer, though at the same time, I still wonder suggested character builds but eh...

If you could post what the characters are, and a brief or full description of who they are, we can start giving suggestions.

Ok, the entries for each of the focus NPCs are as follows [Note: this is based on the page numbers actually on the book, which is where the trouble is at, going by descriptions...

Lorkan Quelos [Fighter 2], pg 64
Ulthielle Quelos [Rogue 2], pg 65
Lyssia Quelos [Rogue 2], pg 66
Alirielle Quelos [Channeler 2], pg 67, [Charisma Focused]
Caranthier Quelos [Wildlander 2], pg 68
Sarran Quelos [Defender 2], pg 71
Xanathar [Rogue 1/Channeler 1], pg 72 [Intelligent Focused]
Drako Korvack [Channeler 2], pg 73 [Intelligent Focused]

I took time to reread the book a few extra times to be sure but that's the pages where their descriptions and entries are [did not change their bios a bit]
