I managed to add 6 extra races (Oruk, Ogre, Goblin, Hobgoblin, Bugbear, Sniffer) to the Generator.

Since I'll be gone for a while, I decided to make a premature release for the Equipment generator. It is not tested to its fullest, though it seems all crashing and infinite loop errors have been dealt with. It has most of the "simpler" items an NPC might need, though mounts have not yet been added. The equipment generator also lacks magic items, except for generic magic +1 to +5 weapons and armor. I hope the results are balanced, though it might need further calibration to balance the different item sets. Tell me what you think, I might be able to make patches on my days off (if I'm not getting drunk and disorderly during that time). If you don't like it, of course, you can just disable it by unchecking the Display Posessions checkbox in the Customize Panel.

Now excuse me, I have to go pack. Wink

P.S: Oh, there's a new "save output as HTML" option in the Customize Panel, because HTML tables are so much prettier than the strange tabbing of .RTF files.

Nice, quite nice  Grin... wait, even nicer! Most of the created NPCs make sense! shock
(which, regarding random NPC creators, is quite a praise)

Now, would there be a way to have a generator ala Hero Forge? angel
(meaning: you can make all the choices from lists instead of having them randomized)

EDIT: Actually I could do a whole Midnight 2nd set for redblade [http://downloads.redblade.org/]... including races with racial HD, and PRCs... but 'tis a titanic task to undertake (alliteration! woohoo!). I'd need much free time, far too much.

Land Outcast, this program is based off of Jamis Buck's NPC generator. It's not very easy to make a character designer, as the folks designing Heroforge, RPG Foundry, RPGXplorer and the like already know. Wink I'd love to see a Midnight set for an electronic character tool but I have a feeling we will be waiting for RPG Foundry by CMP.

Anyway, I found that Darkness Falls has added a page for Shadow races. Their stats are significantly different from what Nif posted, and the vanilla goblinoids in DMG. I assume LeaderDesslok knows best, so I'm using his stats instead Wink (bets are they're from Hand).

Yes, the Shadow races at Darkness Falls are all from Hand of Shadow. Still need to add in flaws and advantages, but I just haven't had time.

Some interesting results on this guy.

1. His Alignment is supposed to be CN, but came out CE, the other 3 came out CN. I requested 4 to be generated, he was the first result.
2. He is Chaotic, yet one of his Legate Domains is Law.
3. His Feat Weapon Focus is 'club', yet he carries a 'tack whip'.

Okay, so this is what I get for telling it "Any" in every box. But I have a question... Did this just generate a Barbarian and give it SPELLS?! ... or is there some reason the NPC was generated with spells that I'm missing? (It is just now after lunch and I am very ready for a nap.)

It got Magecraft and one spellcasting school s feats, so it can cat spells lil, that is one of the joys of Midnight compared to D&D core. Wink

So, all seems in order then, for this Barbarian. ...except literacy in her languages, and illiteracy as a class feature.

I'd crap myself if I saw a barbarian start casting a spell.

it follows 2nd edition pattern where you can buy literacy fort a cost in skill points, i believe it is in order too lil. Wink

I really can't figure out the bugs in the program at this moment. I only hope it works well enough for you and wish you all the best with your future campaigns, since mine seems to have dried out while I've been away Sad.

THis is an awsome tool and I know you were having trouble with a few bugs.  I assume that the alignment selection was one of them?  I selected LN and it changed it to CN.  Other than that I quickly made up 3 characters and they all came out awsome.

The BETA (with an equipment generator with most of the basics covered) has been available for a while now here in the Downloads section.

I have been suspiciously avoiding to dabble with the M2E generator code after returning from Mission Impossible. I took a poke at it a couple of times, but the alignments are a mess and it might be better to leave them as they have been since Jamis Buck's version. For the cases of Rudimentary Alignment Change, it's usually because of alignment restrictions on certain classes (bards/barbarians/legates spring to mind). As for more equipment, I've been caught up in stuff lately, but I hope I'll return to this project.
