Quietus Clarion (OOC)

[Doomed Hero]

This will be the out of character thread for the companion game to Clarion Quietus, which will chronicle the story of the villains.

For new players, the Character Generation and Character Knowledge threads will serve for both games. Anything that needs to be discussed in secret will be done in spoilers of private message. When characters are completed they will be posted in the Book of Shadows thread. For an excellent example of character sheet formatting, please take a look at Matt's sheet for Nefario in the Book of Legends.

Both games will be run with a transparent philosophy, relying on the discretion of the players themselves to act according to the knowledge their characters possess. This means that both "sides" are free to read the adventures of the other if they choose. If you do not trust yourself to be able to avoid "metagaming", please stick to your own game.


This game's party, as it currently stands:

I would like to begin with Homp and CJ leaving Baden's Bluff, and I am ready whenever the two of you are. The first scene will be in the orc garrison that Eirik passed through at the start of the game. Mechanics will be less important than fully developed personalities, so don't worry if your sheet is done. Just tell me when you feel comfortable starting.

Obviously I don't think this needs stating, but I am good to go whenever. I have no idea if you are using fluid time, as it hasn't come into play yet, but I am set.

Homp, being trained by Gorse counts as Brutal Training. You have max possible Vitality. Update your sheet.

Coyote, after speaking with Johanas, it's occurred to me that your character probably knows Illustrian. He's frequented Baden's Bluff a few times in the last few years and he's very boisterous and recognizable. It's up to you how you feel about him, but you'd probably figure out that he's the one Skarren's talking about.

Ok, so we know what kind of conversation is about to ensue. In the interest of speeding things along, I'm going to jump forward.

We will assume that the two of you have traded basic information and decided to work together, and that the introductions happened off camera. Kael identified himself as an Agent of the Crown, but Riddar doesn't know what's up with the strange holy symbol Kael carries yet. Any specific information you want to share or questions you want to ask can be done in the next scene or later in a campfire scene or something like that.

The next scene for the two of you is in the temple of Legate Astegar in the hamlet of Redwind. Go ahead and read the Clarion Quietus entry starting here-

never the less, I like how it reads the way it came out. although I am a little curious how we got to redwind  and why?

Depending on how long it takes the rest of the villains to move things along, I may cut back to the mountain group before getting the two river groups together.

As for joining the rest of the villains, it'll be when they get to you.

did this up real quick, still trying to get the hang of using more color. So I figures Id try making Clouse. Once I was done I added the scars. They are from wounds that should have eather killed him or handicaped him but somehow didn't (Luck feats.) heheh
