Bear with me as I announce the return of the downloads and site sections of the site!

After a long time pondering the pros and cons and making test environments for the new scenario, I have finally deployed the final solution to the live site, the software we are using now is a newer version of the same one we were using before, hopefully this version is free of the security flaw that lead us to two hacks.

Since the software version has a lot of different configuration options, let me know if anything is behaving oddly for you guys.

Woot! Nice to see things back the way they're supposed to look! Thanks Nif!

The only thing new I notice is that the news posts on the front page have your avatar icon in the upper right corner. Clicking around the site everything seems to be working fine.

The avatar icon is a new feature of the software, if anyone ever posts a news item, it is their avatar that will show up there Wink

Additionally, I am finishing uploading the eredane psd file to the server and should have it on the site shortly.

I will also shake a few things here in the coming week, it is about time we get a few changes. mrgreen

AH! And we have a new spam prevention functionality on the site. Grin

Sweet.

For me on the front page ( http://www.againsttheshadow.org/index.php ) the background of the News/Article posts is grey?  Is that suppossed to be like that?

Mmmmm.  Its gone back to black.  I did refresh to double check before originally posting :s  weird.

Well, I had to change the CSS to fix that, so it was probably just a matter of you guys having it cached. Wink

Now that poll button right beside the send topic one on top of the quick reply box is not working on the dark theme.... odd.

The new skin image takes up so much real estate that everything gets squeezed into a narrow column unless you maximize sufficiently. FYI.

I'm using Firefox but I noticed that the new skin doesn't even appear in Chrome.

There is a huge empty margin on the right (about the width of the left hand graphic) that doesn't help either.

I was tinkering a bit with it yes, to check if it worked, as for the margin, I will try and see if I can remove it, but I am not that good on coding and Dain is the one responsible for adapting the original theme. i will try and contact him, maybe it is time to comission custom made themes for AtS, who knows.

Looks like the hacker has now replaced the .org main page with his (kind of neat) annoying BS. It's just an addition though. None of the rest of the site seems effected, so you can still reach the forums by bypassing the home page.

http://www.againsttheshadow.org/index.php?action=forum#1 is the main forum address for anyone reading this that can't be bothered to try to avoid the problems the hacker's thrown in our way.

Nif, good luck. Keep us updated and let us know if there's anything we can do to help.

The forums seem to still be all intact, but the top three buttons on the let column (home, forum, downloads) all bring up an internal server error.
