Incidentally, we can assume that Norther is the default language everyone's speaking, so no need to colour its text unless you really want to.

But seriously, i think it just looks better... and i'm used to it from long PbP on AtS.

I agree. The colors break it up and make it easier to to read. No one likes big blocks of unicolor text.

Yeah, it'd be terrible if there were, say, books, printed with page after page of dull, monotonous black-on-white text!

Fair enough. Given AtS's general lack of colour, I can't say the tinted text phases me too much.

Books break up what would be big blocks of text with things like proper grammar, punctuation, paragraph indentation, ect. A lot of that stuff tends to be lost on the internet, though I admit our game is a bit better than most. At least we don't have anyone who insists on using text speak or can't figure out spell check.

The rules for this little duel: Your attack bonus is +13 (including a bonus from Aiming) vs. a Defence of 10, so you can work out how much you want to put into Power Attack, etc (I'm limiting PAs to half the game's Power Level, so no more than +3). First person to fail a Toughness save by 10 or more is knocked down.

Aisha failed the Toughness save by 10, enough to knock her flat. I assumed you'd want to counteract that, so I spent a Hero Point on your behalf (two left).

You guessed right D, definatly not going down on the first punch.  I was kinda hoping he'd pull his first attack and my impervious would soak the first strike for a nice surprise.  Looks like I'm the one who got surprised.  One of the drawbacks to a toughness save system vs. a health point system.  When luck is with you you're indestructible.  When it's not a single bad roll can put you out.  Fortunatly that's what hero points are for, to smooth out the harshness of a 1-20 spread.

Lets go with a +2 power attack and save that +3 to put a little extra on it towards the end of the conflict.

2-20 bell-curved spread, in this case.

Aisha can judge that an average blow from Balin she could shurgged off; somehow, that hit was noticeably stronger than it should have been, even taking into account the extra weight he put behind it.
