My group is just finishing up the Well of Rebellion from the core book as their maiden adventure.  I've tweaked it a bit, but I am expecting the Legate to die, and the Orc leader, Korshk, to survive.  The twist is that he stayed back in town and will be greeting the party when they return.  The plan is to have Korshk negotiate with the group to save the village (ignore their killing of the  priest and several of his comrades).  Basically, I am thinking of having him ask (demand) the party to "investigate" a local cell of renegade goblins up in the hills and then report back to him.  Korshk was planning on doing this himself, but is now short handed : )  And for this adventure, I'm thinking the Forge of Fury would be perfect (although I will have to scale it down a tad).

So, my question is this..how to Midnightify FoF? My thought would be to have NightScale (the dragon) be up to no good, plotting against the powers at be. But what can this beast be up to? Why is she rallying goblin kin?  And why does she have evil dwarves working for her?

Anyone have ideas on the background/story to make this module sing?

Thanx!!!
