Hi every one!!!

I've started a serie of nexus to use in my campaign and to share with everyone. I've realized a lot of nexus described in MDN books are quite impressive, and I looked for a different kind of more modest, low level ones for the first stages of my game. I think for some weeks I will be sending materials, please tell me what do you think, criticize things you don't like and feel free to use them in your games. I will be happy if you check my english, as I'm not english native speaker. Here is the first one:

Vulture’s Nest

History and description

In a quite rough area full of broken, tortuous gorges there’s an area full of small caves – almost simple holes in the gorges’ walls – which had usually been used as nest for vultures before the increasingly human presence forced them to look for quieter places. One of these caves had long time ago a very different use: it was a meditation place for elves in the earlier days of the Third Age, an small retirement place to think and communicate with Aryth. These elves which came here used to let behind small presents – as wood carved pieces resembling animals, decorated cords, etc. – into the cave and slowly the thoughts of peace, solitude and respect for living beings which carried the visitors focussed into the cave, creating a modest, almost unknown nexus.

Vulture’s Nest is located in a rough gorge in a quite difficult access area. Although it’s placed high in the wall it’s possible to climb there without much problem (DC 20). The cave – in fact two holes communicated by a narrow corridor – is small and has been unoccupied by vultures or other animals since at least two hundred years. The whole interior is full of bones and waste, now almost reduced to dust. The smallest cave still keeps some evidences of the elven offerings, broken and almost rotten. To stand into the cave is a bit uncomfortable, as it’s neither high nor wide, at least for human or bigger visitors. To use the nexus powers, the user must stay in the smaller hole while creating the object.

Location and discovering

Vulture’s Nest can be located anywhere, providing it’s a rough area a bit away from cities and civilized areas. It would be logical it was placed relatively near Erethor. Some places suggested can be the Green March, or the border between The Veradeen and the Highhorn Mountains at the North or the area near Nalford. Anyway, a lot of places in the Northlands could fit as a proper place. As a way of knowing about the places, some elves could still remember the general area (not very specifically), or some people in the neighbourhood could have located the remains of the elven offerings – without noticing the real power of the cave.

Spell energy: 15
Feats allowed: Craft Ring*, Craft Spell Talisman, Craft Wand
Affinity: Spell Talisman 1
Recovery: 1

* The nexus at Vulture’s Nest only works with non metallic items, so the idea of forging a ring can’t be applied here. It can work with rings made of any other material, as bone, stone or wood. The same can be applied to Talismans and wands

With the description and values I’ve attached two photographs of an area which I think reflects the place I would place the nexus (they are in fact photos from a trip to Morocco), with a possible location of the cave (with an arrow and a circle to indicate the exact place and without them just in case you want to use it). I’ve also included a simple map of the caves. As every document is mine, feel free to use the anytime you need it

Arioth,

I like lower power sites that a party can "stumble" across or finds hints to.  Keeping it focused on spell talismans not game breaking magic and free from astirax notice) helps the party and could give them a base of operations to come back to restore used talismans.

Yes, in fact the type of magical items was determined by the previous use the place. I could imagine the elves making small, simple objects while staying in the cave, and that's the kind of objects I decided they could be done when the nexus was created
