In all wars «the war syndrome» is same and similar. I repeatedly dreamed a nightmare - I'm going through the woods, and meet Nazy troop. I shoot and shoot, and they climb and climb . I shoot in all directions, but they still climb and climb to me. I shoot until the bullets do not stop there, as they climb and climb. I ran to the right, and from there climb Nazys. I ran to the left, and from there climb Nazy soldiers. I jump into the pit, but I see that from the bottom, too, climb Nazys. I crawl up stairs, and then stretched his long arms Nazys. And I wake up screaming!

In a «Metal Gear Solid» series enemies of the hero are cloned soldiers.
In a «Adventures of Batman & Robin» (Genesis) enemies of the hero are cloned clowns (While the Joker believes that is clowned clones  )

BTW soundtrack of first level «Adventures of Batman & Robin» «Streets in Fire»(«Steal and Kill!!») very nice for any raze\pillage in grim world of «Midnight». 
In movie «Lord of Rings»  Saruman create mass-orcs from black magic.

The mood of the «Metal Gear Solid» and «Adventures of Batman & Robin» is ideal for the Midnight games. In «Metal Gear Solid» lone hero stealthy infiltrate into the territory controlled by evil, «Game of patriots in Spy-Guerrilla style»(c)
In «ADB» stern grim hero wins the crowd of evil cloned clowns, very good mood for grim Midnight fights «team of heroes vs mass orcs».


«U-gruk» (orcish) = «freshly cookied» or «freshly created». Legates prefer word «Mirrored».

 Manufacturing technology of «Mirrored» is simple and effective. Normal living orc pose under Black Mirror, and living reflections begun crawl from evil mirror
«Mirrored»  does not reflect in any mirrors.They live 2D4 days, then melt as Wicked Witch (Land Oz).
And since different soldiers life is different, they melt right in sight of each other
It is easy to guess that they quickly realize that are doomed, and the spectacle is constantly melting brothers finally drives them crazy
In combat, evil clones are murderous suiciding kamikazes who try to die with the maximum damage to enemy. Many of them go into battle hung with explosives, or burning tar
They were never afraid, do not surrender, well, and the prisoners do not take the same course. If no enemies, they can easily kill each other.

Cool idea. 

i have the feeling if Izzy found a way to do this it would be less friendly to the orc being mirrored.  Perhaps something like this:  Orcs are forced to stare into the black mirror for days, until finally driven mad by what they see there (what it is is up to you).  Then, if they sacrifice themselves (not killed by others, but kill themselves willingly ...through insanity or otherwise) as their blood goes into the mirror their body is taken over, ripped apart by the mirror, and reformed in image of the orc, but as these mirror entities. 

I imagine dark tendril lifting from the mirror surface, engulfing the orc's now dessicated body, shredding it with a horrible crunching and grinding sound, splitting into 8 tendrils that touch the ground and build the Mirrored ones, each revealed as the tendril recedes.  Each has a fractionated memory from the original victim...enough to function but not to know who they really are or what happened...
