BWP, Winrar, as arnon says, is free and shareware, the paid version has more functionalities but the free one is going to fit your needs perfectly, I have been using it for mroe than 5 years myself. Wink

On the Tome, nearly all of it comes directly from the old site forums, there are a few things that were developed specifically for it, I can speak of the Villainous Paths and the Kurasatch udareen core class we have there for two examples (although there are many paths). If any of you get errata or FAQ for it, by the way, by all means post. Smiley

WinRAR is not "free"; it's a trial version.  Says so right here: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm  "Trial" means "shareware" which means "pay for it if you like it, stop using it if you don't".  (Note that this is a different model to "freeware for basic functions, pay for extra functions".)  Since I don't want to use it at all, I don't see the point of downloading it at all; certainly I don't want to steal it.

WinZip already "suits my needs perfectly" (and I paid for my licence over ten years ago ...).  Why would I now want to pay for a second program to do exactly the same thing, but in a format with less support?  The only benefit of WinRAR is that it supports RAR, which it only does because that's the manufacturer's proprietary format!  "I eat beef because beef is what I eat."

In any case, I have downloaded the ZIP file, thank you, and all is hunky-dory.

I won't make you put my real name in, unless you REALLY want to. Wink

I don't think anyone has quite my screen name, and those in the know... KNOW who that is.

Bwahaha.

...sort of.

Nif et al,

I just wanted to thank you for the very kind words in the introduction. It's been a long time since I frequented this site. I have the full collection of Midnight stuff but never did get around to playing! I may be able to DM a campaign this year but, if I do, I will probably be using the Savage World rules (and the conversion from this site).

Happy new year to all and a special hello to those who may remember me from about four years ago.

Thanks Nif. Maybe I'll get active again soon and post a few Savage World conversions to go with the excellent ones that are already on the site.  Wink

Well, that would be great, i am not using D20 any more myself and am working on a few more things of the Cinematic Unisystem conversion before I start posting it to the site. Wink

Yes, while I do love D&D3.5E in so many ways, it simply takes too long to prepare for games especially as there has never been a genuinely good PC-based character generator. Also, despite my past record of submitting "crunch" contributions to this website, I'm actually much more interested in the story and flavour of my games.

I am much the same, plus the site could use much more flavour than crunch, it seems Midnight is a popular setting to be moved to another system, on RPG.net there has been a thread lately asking to which system the OP should move it, and some guys there got interested in the Savage World conversion as well.
